The Journey of Country Services Pest Control Ltd

Country Services Pest Control Ltd was founded by Duncan in 1987. Over the following decades, he built a trusted and reputable business, known for delivering pest control services with excellence and confidence. Drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience, Duncan established the company as one of the leading pest control providers in southern England.

With a strong commitment to offering a personal touch, Duncan ensured and continues to ensure the company upholds the highest standards of pest control services in South Central England. This included employing trustworthy staff, all of whom underwent comprehensive background checks and training.

A New Chapter from 2025

As Duncan approaches his 70th year, he decided in late 2024 that it was time to transition some responsibilities to a new individual.

Clive, who has worked with the business on multiple occasions over the past 15+ years, stepped in to cover a staff absence. After spending over two decades in digital marketing, Clive found he enjoyed the variety of pest control work and saw potential in joining the company permanently.

Having known Clive’s family since before he was born, Duncan had no doubts about entrusting him with the future running and development of the business. When Clive expressed interest in being more involved, Duncan knew the company would ensure the customers would be in safe and capable hands.

From 2025, Clive and his friend Rich (also a long-term friend) have taken over more of the day-to-day running elements of the business. Duncan continues to have a role in the business, albeit in a more behind-the-scenes capacity, with his extensive knowledge, ensuring that the company maintains its exceptional service and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Sue, who has been the voice of the company for decades, is still very much available to talk you through any worries that you might have.

Our dedication to providing premium pest control services will remain steadfast. Duncan has been clear that the company’s high standards, personalised processes and committed approach to long-standing and new customers will continue to be the focus of the business.

We treat a wide range of pest problems throughout the South East of England.  From ants and fleas, right up to larger mammals and birds.  Pests are simply creatures that are in the wrong place at the wrong time.  This is not their fault and where health and safety permits, exclusion is often a better solution than eradication.

Our team includes a zoologist, several very experienced technicians and our founder, wildlife management expert Duncan Mattinson.

Country Services Pest Control:

We operate in Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, West Sussex, London and beyond.  Country Services was a family run business that has provided a comprehensive, effective and discreet service to households and businesses across the South of England since 1987.

In 2024 Clive was recruited to cover calls for a short period of time due to an employee injury. It was at this time that Duncan decided that it was also time to (Semi) retire after nearly 40 years experience since starting the business.

Clive and Richard (Long-term friends of Duncan) decided to buy the business and continue the established operation, plus uphold the existing commitments to our wonderful customers. Sue who is the Office Manager will remain with the company for as long as she wishes as she is the wonderful backbone of the organisation, committed to the future of Country Services Pest Control Ltd.

Duncan will continue to support his customers and will still be very much involved in the business for as long as he wishes, he will never completely retire.

In this new chapter we aim to provide a continued excellent service to our existing and new customers.

We understand your concerns about inviting strangers onto your property and are very discriminating when recruiting our technicians.  We employ a staff of dedicated professionals who are all DBS checked, polite, friendly and highly trained.
